Klein Challenges South Florida Seniors to Choose Between Social Security and Allen West
For seniors who enjoy Social Security checks and Medicare coverage, Congressman Ron Klein has a message: Vote for me if you want to keep those entitlements. Vote for Allen West if you're willing to lose them.
That's the theme of an ad Klein's campaign released this morning. It quotes West calling Social Security a "Ponzi scheme," which it sorta is, considering the unlikelihood that 20- and 30-something workers will receive return on their investments in the program. But if that's true, that would make Florida seniors akin to Bernie Madoff and Scott Rothstein.
