Mother Abandons Baby in Stroller to Go Shoplifting With Her Other Kids

• Hi there. This actually happened to my girlfriend at her salon, Lisa Marie Owens in downtown Lake Worth. A lady got her hair cut and colored and then Lisa walked to the back of the salon to grab a broom and the lady was gone and left behind a little girl maybe about 1 years old. She also did this to avoid paying for her hair cut and color. The little girl was sleeping and when she woke up she didn't even look for her mom or cry. She was fine as though this was something that had happened to her before. We called the police and they called Children & Families and about 7 hours later someone came and picked her up. It was so sad! The girl was still in diapers and so little and cute. To imagine what her life will be like in the future was scary. I do think that the mom actually claimed her and perhaps did get her daughter back. The whole thing was disturbing.
