Former GOP Greedhead Now Pandering to Democrats

Jim Greer has had an epiphany!

In September 2009, then-Florida GOP Chairman Jim Greer released a withering attack on President Barack Obama, who at the time was planning a speech for the nation's schoolchildren about the importance of education. Greer said:

As the father of four children, I am absolutely appalled [Editor's note: appalled!] that taxpayer dollars are being used to spread President Obama's socialist ideology.

In the year that's passed since, Greer has been launched from the party, indicted for money laundering and fraud, accused of ransacking the party coffers and spending it like a drunken, patriotic soldier. Naturally, this experience has helped Greer to identify a new American villain: the Republican.

Behold, Jim Greer, Version 2.0:

"In the year since I issued a prepared statement regarding President Obama speaking to the nation's schoolchildren, I have learned a great deal about the party I so deeply loved and served,'' Greer said in a written statement. "Unfortunately, I found that many within the GOP have racist views and I apologize to the President for my opposition to his speech last year and my efforts to placate the extremists who dominate our party today. My children and I look forward to the president's speech."

Yes, Florida. Take it from an extremist who dominated the party: There are too many extremists who dominate the party.
