Anti-Islam Pastor Condemns Qur'an Burning by Gainesville Church

Dozier thinks burning the Qur'an is "incitement," similar to the mosque planned for Ground Zero in Manhattan.
There are few pastors in America more extreme in their opposition to Islam than the Rev. O'Neal Dozier of the Worldwide Christian Center in Pompano Beach. In 2007, Dozier sued to prevent the construction of a mosque in the city, claiming that the Council on American-Islamic Relations had ties to terrorist groups.

Asked whether he supports the right of the Dove World Outreach Center to burn copies of the Qur'an, Dozier said, "Absolutely not. I don't think the we need to provoke Islam in that sense. I think that there are other ways to express our protest against Islam."

Asked to elaborate as to what would be a better method for opposing the religion, Dozier said:
We should be educating the public about Islamic fascism, and all that comes from the teachings of the Qur'an. Based on those teachings, Islam is a very dangerous cult. It is a political movement that seeks to dominate and to institute sharia law in the U.S.
To combat the spread of Islam, says Dozier, "You don't have to burn the Qur'an. You just have to teach what Islam is about." He would like for schools to devote a portion of their history lesson to Islamic fascism, "just as you teach the Nazis."

Of course, doesn't Christianity have its own history of violence and fascism? "Those have been very, very few," says Dozier. "There's a difference, because Christianity is about love. It does not push its way through violence, through intimidation, through any kind of force."

If a religion decided that it were going to worship a single tree, says Dozier, that would be its constitutional right. "But I have a problem with somebody who tells me to bow and to pray to that tree and if I don't, then I'm threatened and called an 'infidel' because I don't embrace that god. Islam is the only religion I know that spreads itself through violence."
