County Commissioner Jeff Koons Arrested on Extortion and Perjury Charges

Police arrested Palm Beach County Commissioner Jeff Koons early this morning on charges of extortion, perjury, and a Sunshine Law violation.

Koons resigned at a news conference this morning, and his attorney read a statement from him that said: "I screwed up big time, and I blame no one but myself. I shamed my friends, family, and community. I can only pray for their forgiveness."
