• Looked cool to me. He's 42 years old. Give him a break. "Cool as Ice" is a great movie, not a Rambo type flick, but my kids loved it. They showed it on one of the movie channels not to long ago. I think Ice is holding his own, what's up with all the haters? The guy has been through hell and back, let him have some fun. Check out his web page, he still does shows all over the world. Through all the b.s. he keeps moving forward. You can't hold Ice down, he just keeps popping up. I respect his drive, even if it is into a lake. Way Too Fun.

I don't know Rob, but from what I've heard, he's a good, family guy who you might enjoy hanging out with. Vanilla Ice, on the other hand, is a bad joke. Ice, Ice Baby was lame song with a great hook (swiped from Queen and *allegedly* Mario Johnson). Now Ice releases a lame car jump video on the eve of the X Games. Anyone see a pattern of mediocrity here? And don't get me started on "Cool As Ice", it was certainly no "8 Mile." Ice wants to do his thing? Great! Don't make me waste my time watching a "stunt" you spent "months" planning only to find it was no better than what a 5 year old could have done on accident. 90% of the excitement is the possibility, however remote, that Vanilla Ice might come to some harm. You want respect, Ice, take a 1990 Mustang 5.0 Convertible and jump it 270 feet off Pier #8 to a waiting barge "with the ragtop down so your hair can blow." If there's a problem, that's how you solve it!

• How many of you Haters get to do anything like that and have articles written about you? Maybe it wasn't the best jump ever done, so what, maybe he did it just for fun. Leave the guy alone and go pick up the garbage around your trailers.

• There does certainly seem to be some people pretty bummed that someone else is doing their thing. I agree.. He hasnt done much that I like since Ice.. but who cares? He is doing his thing. To each his own.

• F A I L > S T U N T Want more reasoning? 1. The flame was lame 2. The "jump" was more of a plop. I've seen bigger jumps from cars hitting curbs. Actually if he had just hit a curb it would have been more fun to watch. 3. 14 seconds of stunt. 1 minute of just being wet. Seriously what was with that, he's ok, he can swim underwater, he is back on the surface? ---If this was just the result of a bad camera angle, well that is still a fail because it means they can't even set the camera up in a decent spot. Which is just pathetic.---

• That jump was pretty lame. Of course, what more would you expect from a guy who's only hit single was about a time he drove to the wrong part of town, cowered from some gunshots, and then got the hell back to the other side of the tracks as fast as he could. I wonder, was Shay wearing a motorcycle helmet when he was riding shotgun back in the day? The stunt I want to see is Suge Knight hanging Vanilla off a 20th floor balcony. Now that would be worth watching! PS: Rob, I forgot to thank you for 21 years of keeping white people from rapping. Props to you!

• Gary, On the contrary, BP's disaster has had an impact on us all and we understand your concern. That is precisely why all the necessary precautions were taken to protect the environment. This was well-planned and the vehicle was prepared appropriately; all the environmentally hazardous fluids were removed from the vehicle and the vehicle was out of the water as fast as it went in. It was out of the water so quickly that the headlights and taillights were still on. Rest assured no harm was done to the environment.

• Gary, Rob could pay it. He probably owns the lake. Give the guy a break. He wanted to do a kickass stunt with fire and a cadillac and he did. The people there probably thought it was the coolest thing theyd ever seen. No skin of your nuts.

• Amazing. BP's trouble with polluting the Gulf of Mexico didn't seem to have much impact on Rob's planning. Perhaps the Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife will follow the procedure they are using with BP and send Rob a bill for the cleanup.

• Chaz, Rob does do a lot for charity. He doesn't have too much free time; he tours nonstop. But he does make time to do a Toys for Tots free show every year, etc. Rob's a busy man, but he always makes time for charity. He does so much for charity without the cameras rolling. Rob is a good man, a good family man, and a good friend. As far as the show, it's never been done. I don't know how it going to be edited but I hope they show even half of the crazy fun stuff we do. We had a blast doing this show. Rob is the real deal, he really does care about friends and family, if you're his friend he treats you like family. Hope you enjoy the show. Rodney

• Rob; I really dig you and your life style, but it seems to me you have way too much free time on your hands. Have you considered another "hobby" that adds value to society? Saving kittens from alligators, walking old ladies across the street, or feeding the hungry are just a few thoughts that come to mind. Wait. Stop. I got it. You seem to know something about harpoons so maybe you can help out the Whale Wars guys... Maybe there's something there. But this reality show?
