Interpol -- in Fort Lauderdale?

​What's this? One of the guys from Interpol is down at Fort Lauderdale beach today? Which one? Is it an acoustic/unplugged show on the sand? A little beach volleyball? A Joy Division tribute set in the sun? What??

Nah -- the Florida Sheriff's Association is holding a big convention down at the Marriot Harbor Beach today.

Guests include Florida Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp, Attorney General Bill McCollum, Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink, Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson, and Ronald K. Noble, secretary general of Interpol. Not the band, the International Criminal Police Organization. Sorry for the confusion.
