- Within hours of announcing her resignation from the Broward County Commission, Diana Wasserman-Rubin was arrested and charged with unlawful compensation, based on her casting votes on grants for Southwest Ranches that were written by her husband, Richard Rubin. [Sun-Sentinel]

- Justice came swiftly for Tyrone Roy Pinkney, the 23-year-old who police say killed a store clerk and a customer at a West Palm minimart Saturday.
