That husband, Gerry Gunzburger, has been dead for two years, leading to this zinger of a quote from the commissioner:
"I can't answer anything since I don't know the details,'' an exasperated Gunzburger said. "Let them go after my husband. He's at Temple Beth-El cemetery.''It's hard to keep track of all the local officials under investigation corruption, but here's what we know so far:
Broward County Commissioners Stacy Ritter, Ilene Lieberman, and Diana Wasserman-Rubin; Broward County School Board member Stephanie Kraft; Tamarac's Mayor Beth Flansbaum-Talabisco and Vice Mayor Marc Sultanof.
Tamarac Commissioner Patti Atkins-Grad has already been arrested and charged with taking bribes. At the center of the scandal, the father-son development team of Bruce and Shawn Chait, who are cooperating with investigators.
