Audio: Judge Seidlin Flees Paul and Young Ron Show

All of us in Broward County who know what a bad joke Judge Larry Seidlin really is have had to watch him hawking his unconscionable book about the Anna Nicole Smith case and his new proposed "Psychic Judge" TV show all week on national news shows.

They let the huckster slide every time on serious questions about the serious civil case that alleges Seidlin exploited his elderly neighbor, Barbara Kasler, out of hundreds of thousands of dollars and his infamous afternoon tennis games when he should have been on the bench.

Until this morning, that is. Seidlin was scheduled to appear on Paul and Young Ron's radio show, but apparently when he heard the lead-up to the interview, which also featured reporter Kelly Craig, Seidlin didn't answer his cell phone (apparently he's up in his home in Pennsylvania) and abandoned the interview.

You can hear the audiotape of the banter that put a scare into Seidlin inside. But first, Roger Stone sent this statement to the Pulp regarding his romp -- photographed below -- at the Gay Pride Parade in Manhattan on Sunday. Looks like Virgil got Stone's attention with his comment:

hmmmm - I not only was not wondering but I was completely unaware that "the average citizen has lost all respect for LE and attorneys." Is there a basis for that statement? Or is it simply a supposition? It seems, after all, a stretch to suggest ALL attorneys or "LE" are bad because of these relatively few bad actors. I'm not with BSO. If Lamberti is using it as a political weapon, then how come Bob isn't writing about it? I take issue with Bob because he has always shown favoritism towards Gunzburger and now all of a sudden he is silent. John Wayne and his family didn't steal from taxpayers for over 20 years. Sue Gunzburger's family milked Broward County for millions of dollars. How many schools could've been built with that money? How many teacher job could've been saved? How many more police officers could've been hired? That is our money that could've been used for other things. She made millions of dollars selling a product that was below standard. Her daughter had a job with the county that she was unqualified for and lied about taking time off. Her son also has a county job and runs her campaign while on the public payroll, uses county resources to run her campaign, and lobby's her votes i.e. tells her how to vote. A trip down memory lane... here was Seidlin's reason for resigning from the bench in 2007. Forget that he was at the start of a bribery/exploitation investigation with the SAO, and that the results of that investigation - even though he was able to manipulate it - were still damning in that the JQC sanction threatened his pension. That aside, I'm sure this was heartfelt. But what do YOU all think? In a letter to Florida Governor Charlie Crist in June, 2007, Seidlin wrote: "It is now time for me to devote more of my daily life to my own young family and to pursue the many opportunities that have been offered to me outside the judicial system and I have disregarded until now...While these opportunities are varied, they all share in common a further commitment to helping my fellow citizens through roles in the educational system, the media and nonprofit organizations."

The investigation centers on deals that Gunzburger's late husband, Gerry, made with Broward County government. I'll post my recent story on these deals on the jump. He owned a company called Better Than Wood that made "lumber'' out of recycled plastics. These deals happened well over a decade ago, but Broward State Attorney's Office spokesman Ron Ishoy confirmed for me today that the statute of limitations on public corruption crimes does not run out until two years after a politician leaves office. Ethical questions about Gunzburger's family business and its dealings with the government she helps oversee have dogged her for her entire political career in county hall. At issue is whether she used her official position to rain business onto her husband's company. Her husband died a year ago. "I can�t answer anything since I don�t know the details,'' an upset Gunzburger said. "Let them go after my husband. He's at Temple Beth-El cemetery.'' Read more on the jump. FDLE working with the United States Attorney�s Office notified the Department in January 2010 that three of the department�s officers were targets in the investigation and those officer�s were immediately placed on administrative leave with pay pending the investigation. On June 30, 2010, the Chief of Police was notified by FDLE regarding the indictments of those officers, and the officers were placed on administrative leave without pay. The three officers are Joseph Derosa, Casey Mittauer, and Daryl Radziwon. The Plantation Police Department is cooperating with FDLE and the U.S. Attorney�s Office, and all investigative inquiries should be directed to the U.S. Attorney�s Office.

Seidlin's agent says his client is not going to be ambushed into addressing the charges that he exploited an elderly widow while he's in the process of exploiting a dead celebrity. And he's not getting money from the widow Kasler right now...he's getting money for the dead Anna Nicole Smith. So KEEP TO THE TOPIC, MEDIA! Or the honorable judge Bolts!!!! Got IT?!
The attorney also claimed to witness the judge and another attorney discussing Kasler's property. "They were looking over the survey and the deed of the property, and Seidlin said, 'We'll put in [daughter] Daxie's name; that way, they'll never trace it back to us.' I heard the Paul, Ron and Kelly show this morning and it was so funny. After a long delay where they apparently were trying to get Seidlin back on the phone, he wouldn't answer his cell. Agent had no idea why he wouldn't pick up..uh huh! They mentioned Danni, wasn't that the name of the woman who gave Pulp the finger in the last Seidlin circus blog?
