Allen West Plays the Nazi Card (Again) and Encourages Violence (Again)

• First i want to commend you for the Photo of West making a "well known" (in military circles) ANARCHIST STATEMENT..(water burial of the flag )............all in keeping with the ANTI-GOVERNMENT SENTIMENTS OF THE TEA-PARTY........THE TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENT line is appropriate for him as well....yet it is him and his SUBVERSIVE SUPPORTERS (at least in Broward).....who are the TYRANTS really but, i supposed they are so "caught up" in the POWER FEST that they are deluded into believing WE ARE ALL BLIND TO THEIR  AMBITIONS !...This should not surprise us, that a man who had devoted 22 years to Military Service then be "asked" to leave ..would HOLD anti-government sentiments on a deep level...........

• Allen West is not "tyrannical" although I admit some of his war actions are questionable, I think in general he is a good candidate. I voted for Obama and my ailing father ended up loosing his meager insurance sales job because of it, West teaches self responsibility and offers hope to people affected by this healthcare legislation. Now I a 19 year old once a feverish supporter (I watched every single election he was in) am supporting Allen west. Go figure?!?

• Put another way, Hamilton was defending treason against England, not pretending he wasn't guilty of it. One more time, advocating taking up arms against our government is advocating treason, plain and simple.

• If West is invoking the natural right to oppose a tyrannical government by force, then he is guilty of treason. Our founding fathers invoked that right to start a violent revolution. They were certainly guilty of treason from the British perspective. Opposing the duly constituted U.S. government by force is treason as to it, period. If you succeed in violently overthrowing the government and invoke your natural right to do so, just like our founding fathers did, great, but don't pretend you aren't guilty of treason. Our founding fathers didn't.

• Bearing arms against a tyrannical government is our duty--Robin is right. But the definition of tyranny being thrown around right now is ridiculous, irresponsible and crazy. We currently do not have a tyrannical government. They were elected by the democratic process, follow the democratic process, and can be voted out by the democratic process when they are up in 2012 for election. They have done nothing to try and take those freedoms away, despite what the Tea Party idiots would have you believe. You can argue for lower taxes and smaller government all you want (those are legitimate gripes, and in this country your voice is allowed to be heard because we live in a constitutional republic, not under tyranny) but the comparisons of this government to Nazis and other tyrannical governments is disgusting, especially for those who actually had family survive the Holocaust.

• West is a lunatic. Obama agreed with the Supreme Court that the 2nd Amendment created an individual right to bear arms. But the lunatics still created an ammunition shortage with lies that the feds were going to sieze it all. Bearing arms against a supposedly tyrannical government is called treason, not patriotism. Getting drummed out of the service for conduct unbecomming is not something to crow about, except in this absurd political atmosphere of hate, where up is down and down is up, and mandating individual responsibility for health care costs by buying private insurance is socialism, even though it was Nixon's idea originally.
