Stormfront Scion Derek Black Hosting Radio Show on WPBR

Stormfront's Derek Black jumps into the talk radio fray.

​Joining a list of decidedly eccentric squawk radio hosts in South Florida  -- from both the right and left -- including Joyce Kaufman, Dick Farrel, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Foley, and Randi Rhodes, Stormfront's poster boy, Derek Black, is now hosting his own radio show on Lake Worth's WPBR-AM (1340). Black's a ginger-colored apple who hasn't fallen far from the tree: His dad is Don Black, who has long run the nation's largest white nationalist organization out of his West Palm Beach home.

The show, which debuted in February, typically opens to the strains of Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries," segueing into Merle Haggard's "I'm a White Boy," ("It just doesn't get any better than that," father Don beams). It runs 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Black, with his trademark hat, plays Lake Worth open mics when he's not on air, blacksmithing, making stained glass, etc.

​Black interviews guests David Duke, Paul Fromm, Sam Dickson, and Jared Taylor, asking questions in his smooth Deep South twang. He covers national and local news (Lake Park gerrymanders voting system to favor black representation), interspersed with mini-history tidbits ("In 1666, Nathaniel Bacon organized a rebellion of white indentured servants"). Free speech, Black and his guests agree, is highly endangered.

Black's father fills in from time to time because, Don explains, Derek is immersed in so many projects: "He's a full-time student, he's a musician, he's a Medieval blacksmith, he's a stained-glass person, he's a Renaissance man!"  When Derek's on the mic, he makes a point of taking a "higher tone," vowing not to call even his most annoyingly liberal, self-hating white guests any "names they can't defend against."
