The Boynton Police have released news about the girl "abducted" in Boynton today: It was her dad. And he wasn't kidnapping her, just being extra persuasive about getting her back in his car.

The father had just dropped his 5-year-old son at the bus stop when his daughter too got out of the car. In the way of toddlers, she didn't much want to get back in. So Daddy, pictured right, had to lift her back into the car. That's what an observer who phoned police saw.

From the Boynton PD's explanation of what happened:
"Detectives were able to determine this by going to four elementary schools and talking to any child that took that bus. They interviewed the 5-year-old boy, who gave a description of what occurred at the bus stop. Detectives then contacted his father, who verified this information. He and his daughter then met with detectives. The witness confirmed that this was the man and girl she saw this morning."

The Boynton Beach Police Department has just released a sketch of the man they believe abducted a young girl from a bus stop this morning.

The girl, 4 or 5 years old, is wearing a white top with pink flowers and pink shorts. Her abductor took her from the 1600 block of SW Eighth Street and was driving a Nissan Armada with silver striping.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Boynton Beach Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 561-688-3375.
