Passionate puppy protesters.
On Saturday, animal rights advocates took to Hollywood Boulevard, protesting Puppy Palace, a freestanding building that sells purebred puppies for $300 to $1,500 apiece. The protesters say nobody should be purchasing a commercially bred puppy when there are so many dogs in shelters across the country right now.

After the animal rights advocates secured a permit to demonstrate, the owners of Puppy Palace organized a counterprotest decrying PETA and anyone who they say might infringe upon your right to purchase a dog anywhere you want. Read more about the event here.

It was a colorful, confusing scene.
