|Expect a decision this month from Knight.|
Kentucky: With John Wall leaving to be the first pick in the NBA Draft, the Wildcats will need a new point guard. But Kentucky also loses its two stars in the front court, DeMarcus Cousins and Patrick Patterson. There may not be enough talent left to make the national title run that Knight probably wants.
Florida: The unranked Gators lost to Kentucky on Sunday and have scuffled during the SEC season, but they've got a young nucleus, and Knight could play alongside his close friend Kenny Boynton, a star player from Boynton Beach. Gainesville's also close to home.
After the jump, Knight's other three finalists, plus video from an interview with Knight after last week's loss in the title game.
Connecticut: The Huskies have a lousy team this year, and some of their best players are graduating. Pass.
Kansas: A great team this year, but with Cole Aldrich likely to go pro, plus the possibility that freshman forward Xavier Henry will also leave, the Jayhawks look like they'll be rebuilding, not contending. Next!
Miami: It would be cool to see Knight running in a fast-paced three-guard lineup with 'Canes Durand Scott and Malcolm Grant. Not much of a front court, but who needs one when you've got such sterling guard play?
Maybe I've got a Florida bias, but I think the Gators and 'Canes look like the two best fits for our young Jedi. Prediction: He goes to Gainesville.
