- A contractor working in Haiti was mistaken in reporting that three of the twelve Lynn University students who were there on a charitable mission had been found. So the number of missing students is back up to four, along with two members of the university faculty. [CBS4]

- The Palm Beach County School District continued its retreat from a controversial, test-based academic improvement policy championed by its chief academic officer, Jay Hernandez, who was stripped of some of his power last month, after pressure from parents. - Palm Beach County Steven Abrams is among the 35 former senior attorneys at Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler under investigation by the Florida Bar, which has received reports that the firm's members lied about how much money was in the trust fund and that they stole money from it. [Palm Beach Post]
