Roof-Breaching Robber Video, Now With Appropriate Audio

Since Monday, the Broward Sheriff's Office has been circulating the video below in hopes of catching the man who ransacked a pawn store in Lauderdale Lakes on December 4. But while Juice is usually the first media outlet in South Florida to lend BSO a bad-guy-apprehending assist, we decided to wait an extra day, so we could find a musical score for this otherwise silent film. Surveillance cameras were rolling inside the People's Pawn in Lauderdale Lakes on December 4, as they captured the athletic thief at work. Detectives say the suspect climbed onto the roof of the store. He cut a whole in the roof and threw a rope down into the store to make his descent. The man is seen on video rappelling into the pawn shop. He quickly runs toward the area where the firearms are stored, cuts the lock with his bolt cutter and proceeds to reach, jump and climb the wall trying to grab the weapons on display. He fled the scene with three rifles and two shotguns.

The suspect is described as a light skinned male, possibly Hispanic, who wore a red mask over his face, all black clothing, with black sneakers and a white and black baseball cap. He's believed to measure about 5'10" in height, weighs between 150-170 lbs., and of muscular physique.

Anyone who knows the identity of the suspect or has information regarding this burglary is asked to contact BSO Lauderdale Lakes Detective Ronald Faircloth at 954-497-1646.
