Hospital Commissioner Bounced From Host Committee by Crist Campaign

• Do the math: The North Broward Hospital District is supposed to have seven commissioners. Right now they have five -- with two vacancies yet to be filled by Charlie Crist. So why the vacancy? Clearly, now that Rothstein's bit the weenie, Charlie Hustle gotta be busy shaking the bushes for potential Commissioners willing to backroll his Senate campaign in return for a seat on the Board.) Further ... Jose Cobo is often absent, leaving a total of four commissioners to conduct the District's $3.7 billion a year operation. PS: The Commisioner's next regular meeting will be a week from today at 10:30 AM on December 16 in the Imperial Point Medical Center -- followed by the Commissioner's Gala Annual Holiday Luncheon which will, of course, be very private and by invitation only.)

• Hey Marco- great thinking! How long has Cobo been on your team. Doing this to Governor Crist was worth far more to you then CObo holding a $50,000 fundraiser for you. It is a cheap way to win an election but I guess Crist leaving Cobo on the Broward County Housing Authority and North Broward Hospital District makes it Charlie's fault for being vulnerable in the first place. If I was the Governor I would have tossed this bad actor off both boards five minutes after reading the Goldberg report. The Governor in trying to be fair looks weak and needs to get tough on this aura of corruption that characters like Cobo surround his campaign with. He would be better off taking some heat for being "to tough" then for giving people "the benefit of the doubt". He is running a state, not a "first offenders program" and the amount of money involved is to great to give the appointee the benefit of the doubt. That belongs to the taxpayers.

• If you're going to bribe the "judge," who's sitting on your case, it's best not to advertise it.

• When is Charlie going to tell us whether he's going to remove Cobo from the NBHD? Until he says yes or no, the matter is still pending, and he has no business having any contact with Cobo, let alone allowing him to even be seen at a fundraiser. Taking his money would be outrageous. No wonder the Board thought sending the Goldberg report to the Guv was the perfect plan to bury the report.
