Rothstein's Castle, Part II

rothsteinbed

In part two of our look at some of Scott Rothstein's spoils of Ponzi, we start with his bed. It looks to be hand-carved wood and had a flat-screen TV that would rise from the footboard with the push of a button. The rest is after the jump.

In that same master bedroom, you have the handpainted ceiling.

100_2559.JPG
Funny, I'm not sure I'd like to have to look at that every day.
The master bathroom had his and hers everything, but we only have a photograph of Kim's tub:

rothtub

That seems pretty ordinary-rich. Here's the vanity.

rothvanity

And the following I'm told is part of Kim's closet:

kimcloset

I have to say that's like no closet I've ever seen. Moving on, we have the kitchen:

kitchen

Not so special. The next (and last) pic below doesn't look like much, but it was one of Rothstein's big bragging points.

livingroom
It's the living room ceiling and chandelier. The reader who sent the photos said it's "all 24k gold leaf and venetian plaster. [Rothstein] told us about 20 times how expensive and intricate
the plaster work was."

I wish that I could have this type of house on my boat. But is there any boat insurance company that would accept a luxury type of boat? I guess I would ask some friends if they know some insurance company. I know some but is in Ft Lauderdale Marine Insurance.

Amy Howard is a jock licking hosebag who knows all SR's scummy secrets and helped him deceive Kimmie on too many occasions to mention.

She traveled with him organized his 'parties' and went EVERYWHERE with he and Kimmie.

She was DEFINATELY in the inner sanctum.

That would be bad enough but she made Kimmie believe they were friends and since Kim had no friends other than SR's elderly clients/friends/ wives she told Amy WAAAAYYYY TOOOO much.

I Know for a FACT that Amy didn't keep those secrets Kimmie...so sorry....

and she also used to tell anyone who would listen about SR & Charlie's 'relationship' and their private little vacas together...

Kimmie hated it and the 'illusion' SR used to create that he had women on the side because SR NEVER touched her!!!!!

Most would say that Amy is a dipshit and that is certainly true. But she is also conniving, lying, opportunistic, sycophant with issues.

Kip, the little pug, was so deep in with Scott she will def go down. After all EVERYONE was told that if they wanted $$$ they had to talk to Kip. She held the charity/advertising/PR purse strings. Scott used to proclaim "Kip's been spending my money for years! She knows what I want to do and how I want it done!"

Priscilla and Ingrid were pretty much clueless believe it or not.

Even Marybeth who was SR's 'personal assistant/scheduler etc and knew a crapload has nothing on Amy.

Irene and Debra, rhetorical.

Hey Chaz,

I just visited that castle with my family !!!

And your right, it's the first place I thought of when I saw chez Rothstein.

Interestingly, parts of the castle were neverfinished, but the kitchen was 100 years ahead of it's time. Very modern for 1860's.

Beautiful place and a picture perfect setting on a mountain overlooking a valley and lake.

Hey Lard Boy, you give Nova Law too much credit. Try FOURTH TIER.

As for the decor, they should ask for their stolen money back. I saw Goodfellas on tv this weekend and Henry Hill's decor had nothing on Rothstein! This guy can't even do nouveau riche gangsta right.

Welcome back "Spiro" The force to move Crist out of the Senate race has already begun, if you listen and read Sunday's paper, now RUBIO is neck and neck with Crist, what timing.

You know SR had his own "The Berlin Wall", they were females not like Haldeman/Erlichman. But acted just the same.

rumor has it Scherer's clients were not innocent, and knew early this year that the "investment" was not "kosher". No complaints while they got their money and Scherer sang RRA's praises publicly sending his firm's legal work to RRA.

@Lard Boy,Kusnick is the one who obtained Sunrise Commissioner Sheila Alu's divorce records, in an attempt to stop her from blocking the Waste Management contract renewal. Pulp did a story (or blog entry) awhile back on how her records were being faxed to various folks. Kusnick was the instigator. Interestingly, Sheila's ex-husband, Joe Alu, is the Rothstein bodyguard.

I don't know what he did right after graduating from law school -- someone of his lesser intellect from a third-tier law school like Nova certainly doesn't clerk -- but Rothstein first partnered up with a guy named Howard Kusnick back in the early 90s. Their firm, Kusnick & Rothstein, P.A. was located in Plantation, and subsequently moved to downtown Lauderdale. Longtime partner Michael Pancier -- who would follow Rothstein from firm to firm -- first joined him at Kusnick & Rothstein.

In 2000, Rothstein joined up with Rosenfeldt as a name partner at the Hollywood firm Phillips Eisinger Koss & Rosenfeldt, P.A., -- getting billing over Rosenfeldt, as the firm then became known as Phillips Eisinger Koss Rothstein & Rosenfeldt, P.A.

In February 2002, Rothstein and Rosenfeldt started their own firm, which was at first known as Rothstein & Rosenfeldt, P.A. Within a month, Pancier was addded as a name partner. Adding Susan Dolin, a well-regarded employment lawyer now practicing on her own in west Broward, the firm became known as Rothstein, Rosenfeldt, Dolin & Pancier, P.A. in July 2002. Then in late 2004, it became known simply as Rothstein Rosenfeldt, with Adler being added in March 2005. Melissa Britt Lewis was with Rothstein from the firm's beginning.

Also,

- have you noticed --

a. one of the smaller FL investors was told to wire transfer his $2.x M to the TD Bank in Mount Laurel NJ?

----- right near Philadelphia (see previous posts)

b. when TD Bank was given 72 hours to produce documents by the bankr. court

----- they were all delivered to SR's offices.

Bob - check out www.victoryfunding.net

Victory Funding, LLC. Adler referred PI attorneys to this outfit in order to obtain pre settlement advances for plaintiffs waiting for cases to settle. I used them once and they seemed alright. In fact, they received copies of the pleadings, case summaries, etc...prior to lending. It was a very professionally run, tight ship. In hindsight though, it really does run in the same circles; i.e. the strategic back bone for how to organize investments based on unsettled cases. I could see how someone involved in this type of business would have access to investors, the ability to create docs, transition into fraudulently adding value to cases or simply creating non-existing cases. Its now Victory Funding, Inc. Happy hunting.

To larryboy @ 8:45:

If I were an RRA lawyer, I'd be worried about agency law. The average client does not know the difference between an equity and non-equity "partner." The common law of "apparent agency" will likely be employed to hold these individuals liable for trust account losses. The "p.a." entity does nothing to protect a lawyer from personal liability.

IRS?
IRS?

IRS is totally politicized. If they come in these guys may squeal on the politicos, judges, and other people recieve a govt paycheck and pension - so it is now out in the open that those who are audited in these types of cases are the ones without the blackmail. I understand there are various tapes from the Cheetah, which are a treasure trove of blackmail. Don;t bet on IRS going after any of these jokers. Do bet on the IRS going after many of the bloggers...

how does this work? says:

ok so lets assume what u write here is true, they all get arrested - then what--they post bail and all go back to their multi million dollar homes and wait for the trials for years- and what about the IRS how do they work, snails pace or quickly- these civil suits I assume will take years no?Posted On: Monday, Nov. 23 2009 @ 7:22AM

The people that hired the RRA law firm knew exactly what they were paying for. A firm that owned the police etc. A firm that could invent a crime on a family member. A firm that could discredit a witness with a technique.

Truth or consequences
Truth or consequences

I met a lawyer on a flight recently that represented a client to RRA for investment in his "invention"... Grocery Cart washing machine.... yes, that's a fact!

Turns out, the inventor was a match for Scotty boy as he was just as big a lier as Scott..the machine didn't work!

The interesting thing is the story:

The attorney and his client made the appointment with RRA to present their invention in hopes of a partnership and funding.

Set the scene: Big Board Room in Scotts "Chambers", Adler, Rosenfeld, A Patent Attorney, Boden, and a couple more were sitting there like stuffed dolls, pen and yellow pad squared in front them.. No Rothstein!!!!

Fashionably late, Scott enters the silent room, puffing on a Big Stoogie! He proclaims, "hope no-body minds if I have a littel Smoke?" Wearing a $5,000 suit and tie...

The Inventor and his client looked at this Character in dissbelief and before they could say a word, Scotty (as was his trademark) filled the room again with his words. "The Mother-F__king Landlord does not allow me to smoke in this building, but I do what I want! Anybody got a problem with that!"

Sad part is, Terry Stiles is a good person and helped Scott some many times with extended terms on the constant and somethimes never paid rents and then, new offices. He totally dis-respected Stiles as he did everyone else.

He puffs on the Cigar, sitting at the head of the long conference table, leaning back in the chair in "judgement" of this proposal.

Fortuniatelly, the investors attorney was savey, and knew in 5 minutes, this was a total waste of time..and later learned, his client too, was the same.

Great scene for the movie....
