• Southerner: This is Big Time Topic Drift, but I want to reply to your comments. Born and raised in the North, my sister and I came down to South Carolina in the '60s to help out my mom. I heard "pobukra" a couple of times, which is why I asked her about it. While pretty conservative, I was ticked off the way blacks were intentionally demeaned on a daily basis. Couldn't wait to get out of there. [Sidebar: My sister was so color-blind that when she was at a laundromat, she put her colored clothes in washers labeled "Colored" (the others were marked "White") and wondered why everybody, including blacks, stared at her.] In the late '80s I worked in Georgia and was stunned the way the White Establishment had rolled over and was kissing the black communities' butt. I heard "pobukra" once, but ironically, it was a white liberal laying that slur on me. Was glad to get out of there too - the pendulum had swung too far the other way and the blacks were outright pushy and arrogant (the state was 51% black). As above, you're Spot On regarding the "minority turns majority" statement. I worked for an oil company in the early '80s and was sent to Nigeria. The old hands told me to take a bunch of cheap Timexes with me. It seems that whenever out in the bush, you'd run across a roadblock and at a minimum, the "guards" would want your watch. Guys had been shot for less. At the airport, a guard came by, kicked my luggage and said "White Devil", then spit as he walked off. All the other whites kept their noses in their newspaper. It seems that only the West, and the U.S. in particular, worry about their minorities. When the minorities are on top, "it's payback time" for real amd imagined grievances (South Africa and Zimbabwe for instance) and the liberal community clams up. I'll take a pass on the "ghetto trip" :-) - been there and done that in 1950s Haiti (the definition of abject poverty). And, you're right about the U.S. going to Hell in a handbasket. It is especially painful for me as I grew up when we were a really great nation. Now, because of offshoring jobs that created wealth by making things, we can't produce out way out of this coming Depression. In that scenario, I am concerned about trash people of all colors - outlaw bikers, meth/crack heads, and inner city thugs heading out to rural areas when the welfare checks stop. • I read the article, but as an African American male that has served in 3 branches of the military and received my Master's degree before I was 26, I HAVE also been in racially charged situations. Most police officers are white, and MOST cannot be trusted. Although, I don't see how this particular situation was racially charged, most people tend to arrest African Americans and Hispanics much quicker than whites. That is reality. You should have received a Massa degree in cotton picking. As far as "most people tend to arrest niggers and spics much quicker than whites", first off, most people don't have the ability to arrest anyone, second of all, niggers and spics commit more crimes than whites, WAY more crime. In real life, not on Law & Order, whites commit few crimes, therefore are arrested fewer times. • I was surprised to see the "nigger" epithet uncensored here. So much of our media are cowed by the PC crowd that they tip-toe around the "N"-word. Anti-white comments from the black trash in the article remind me of a tale about Winston Churchill. He was at a dinner party seated next to some society matron. He was pretty well blitzed when he leaned over to the woman and said, "Madam, you are UGLY!". Outraged, she replied, "You, sir, are drunk!!" Winston replied, "Ah, but madam, in the morning I will be sober." So it is with these lowlifes. They can yell "white M/F" and "crackers" all they want, but tomorrow morning they are still niggers. I use that slur in this context: My mom came from the south and said there were four kinds of people there: good whites and good blacks, white trash and black trash. The blacks called the white trash "pobukras" and the whites called the black trash "niggers". ("Bukra" was a black term for a white man and "po" was just a contraction for poor.) PoBukra never caught on outside of the south, but "nigger" remains the effective slur for the class of people mentioned in this article. Don't want to be called one? Then act like a black MAN and not some worthless piece of trash hiding behind your skin color.
