Palm Beach dining: Now serving subpoenas, with a caviar side.
God knows the island of Palm Beach doesn't hold grudges against greedy attorneys, but Brad Edwards, you're pushing your luck. The attorney from Fort Lauderdale's Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler represents a gaggle of Jane Does who say they were solicited and/or fondled by billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, a Palm Beach resident. The gall! And now Edwards is sending his subpoenas to high-society dames like Ghislaine Maxwell. From the New York Post:
Maxwell -- whose press-lord father, Robert Maxwell, died in 1991 after falling into the Atlantic off his yacht, the Lady Ghislaine -- was served with a subpoena on Sept. 22 at 6:45 p.m. as she was leaving the Clinton Global Initiatives Conference at the Sheraton Hotel.
How many more multimillionaires must be slewn by yachts before something is done? And isn't there a rule that you must wait at least 20 years for a family mourning a yacht victim to recover before serving subpoenas? Anyway, that article is here. And Maxwell wasn't alone in this dubious distinction.
Nadia Marcinkova, who has been described as Epstein's lesbian sex slave and who visited him behind bars 67 times, has also been served with a subpoena.
Poor Nadia. Just have your fun, Edwards. Never mind the chilling effect your aggression will have on a rich man's decision to retain a lesbian sex slave.
