The Facebook posts were discovered by the boy's mother in June 2008. The victim told abuse counselors that he had had sex twice with Mateo during Christmas break in 2007, but at the trial, he testified to being unsure what had occurred between them.
Mateo, who was 27 at the time the crimes occurred, faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
