Charlie Crist: Has Such a Popular Candidate Ever Been So Unpopular?

Let me explain. Surveys show that Charlie Crist is one of the nation's most popular governors. Polls show that he has a huge, possibly insurmountable lead in the race for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate. Yet straw polls show that Republican activists prefer underdog Marco Rubio. And some of the state's most high-profile Republicans, like Jeb Bush and Mark Foley, are trying to kneecap his campaign with public comments about how Rubio is a legitimate contender, even if that's only because they're trying so hard to promote him.

Rubio doesn't have official endorsements from those two, but this week, he's added one from Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite of Lakeland.

Crist continues to do nothing in Florida. If he becomes Senator it is because be in a a member of the New World Order. Then he can sit in Tallahassee with some of the other NWO monsters.
Charlie Crist is a directionless man. He always sounded depressed and unconnected. Why does he run for governor? He doesn't know. Then he gets bored and wants to be a US Senator? Why? He has no idea why because he is a depressive empty suit. He is a man who is sleepwalking through life. He is not a public servant. He only serves his ego which gets some gratification (but not much for this depressive soul) from being in high office. But there is no emanation of joy or warmth. He is just "being there" Everyone knows taxes on "sin" such as alcohol and tobacco are always high. Taxes on gambling are customarily at sin tax levels except when it comes to the tribes. It is a sin that we have such a blank and morose governor who will not pursue the Seminoles for taxes Charlie was so gutless with the Seminoles who are ripping off this state when it comes to paying their fair share of taxes. There are many ways to get this alleged sovereign nation to pay what the horse tracks do which is 60%. You just station state police cruisers at the entrances to their gambling emporiums and demand that all entering must show ID. Most customers will make a U-turn and the rest will be waiting for hours to gain admission as each ID gets vetted. Revenues off these suckers will plummet and the Seminoles will beg to be taxed at a fair level Mario Cuomo did this 20 years ago to get the Mohawks to pay state taxes on the cut rate gasoline they sold on the reservation. Back then Indian gambling did not exist and the gasoline racket was peanuts in comparison. Now these tribes get rich off our citizens who are gambling addicts. Seminoles need to pay their fair share during these trying times. With some of the taxes going to programs that treat gambling addicts But depressive Charlie could care less about this. He is more concerned with making sure he is properly tanned as he swans around trying to look like Senatorial material
I am glad that Florida's voters are finally seeing through the tanned facade of the "People's Governor." It would take too long to list all of his many shortcomings, and for someone who has had a Republican super majority in Tallahassee, it is stunning just how little he has been able to accomplish since being elected, and it is the height of arrogance for him to even think that his lack of accomplishments in Florida somehow entitles him to be Senator. I am still waiting for my property taxes to "drop like a rock," but if Charlie's poll numbers keep dropping, we can at least save Florida the embarrassment of sending him to Washington, though after George Lemieux, even Sara Palin would be an improvement. If Crist has accomplished anything worth bragging about, it has been keeping the lid on his true sexual orientation, but that will hopefully change when he is taken apart by the national media. Maybe he can get a job with the Seminole Tribe after he is done with politics, and if that doesn't pan out, there is always a place for him on Scott Rothstein's amazing team at RRA. By the way, is he still married or has his wife dumped him because she didn't get the Senate seat as a quid pro quo for playing the beard?

What surveys say Crist is so popular??? I haven't seen anything that says this, but I keep seeing references to it. All I read about these days is how Crist is getting decimated in Republican straw polls and got censured by the Volusia REC. Could it be that the surveys you are referring to are fabricated by the Crist camp? I can't find anyone who thinks he's worth squat.
