Fort Lauderdale Police Investigating Possible Suicide on Beach

​Fort Lauderdale police are investigating a possible suicide on the beach near Sunrise Boulevard and A1A this morning. Details are extremely scarce at this point, but here's what Sgt. Patrick Hart says they know:

Police got a call reporting that a person had been found on the beach. When officers arrived, they discovered a man who had been shot once in the head. "Right now, everything appears to lead toward a suicide," Hart said. Of course, nothing is official yet, and homicide detectives will be investigating the case. Hart said he did not know the name of the deceased or the time the incident was reported.
