  • In Broward Circuit Court yesterday Leon Barbanell won $5.3 million from Phillip Morris for the death-by-smoking of his wife Shirley, 13 years ago when she was 73. But as Carol Marbin Miller reports in the Miami Herald, the tobacco company will appeal, which means Barbanell, who's 92, will have to wait to spend his tobacco bucks.
