Deerfield Vice Mayor: "I Don't Want to Get Caught Up Into Cyberspace." Yet Here She Is.

Categories: Broward, Politics

The funny thing is, Sylvia Poitier knows that she gave her nemesis, Chaz Stevens, exactly what he wanted. But Deerfield Beach's vice mayor still couldn't resist. Because Stevens gets to tee off on her at his blog, Acts of Sedition, and her weapon is the commissioner remarks, the freestyle portion of commission meetings. The video above is from Tuesday night's.

"It's just hard for me," she says, wincing. "I'd just rather tell you off and get it over with and be through with it." And with that she launched into a 10-minute tirade against Stevens, who has filed a slew of ethics complaints and mailed documents to state and federal prosecutors in hopes they'll see that they can make a case against Poitier for public corruption. More background on that here and here.

The rest of this surreal video, after the jump.
