It's Time to Ditch DROP

• Since when is it permissible to take away from someone a pension that they earned by dedicating years of service for an organization? Take away the fact that it's an elected official. I'm a person who worked for the state for 20+ years. As a reward for my service, I collect a pension. I am still young enough to be in the workforce. I take another job within the state and work. Am I to be punished because of this? Chances are, you would be upset if this were you. This is nothing more than class warfare: the have vs. the have-nots. How do you expect to retain low paid state workers by taking away a benefit such as their pension?
