• My favorite is CAPT. SHRIMP I went to this restaurant after seeing the good reviews, and I ordered the shrimp Alfredo; I was surprised that it was such great quality for a reasonable price. My wife had the snow crab legs and she was also very satisfied with her selection. I would definitely recommend eating here and I myself will be returning in the future. WWW.CAPTSHRIMP.COM

• Le Bistro in Lighthouse Point is a sleeper. The BEST restaurant in Florida. No doubt.

• Surf Road Taco, 3 Street in Hallandale, off of S Dixie. The best tacos in life & soooo affordable! Awesome food, cool people, great prices, what more could you ask for???

• 2nd Place always goes to The Knife in Hallandale. Great food. So much of it! Arrive hungry.

• My vote goes to Rosey Baby;'s on north University. Love those crawdaddies and their gumbo is like a night in N'awlins! Jules & co. gives you one helluva experience and provides a really lay back cajun joint with fab music hi-lites our locals. Love the entire place.

• Easily the Mai Kai. Casual drinks & apps in the Molokai bar, or a full-on dinner in the show room or gardens, there's a reason the place has been around for 50+ years. Best food, best drinks, best atmosphere & service, no question. Every trip there is magical.

• Mai-Kai! Hands down the most fun, tastiest, beautiful place in town. From a casual night out, to a part of 20 to celebrate getting 20 people in the same place at the same time..... the Mai-Kai makes it a special evening.

• I recently visted TOSS UP SALADS in Davie, and they make amazing salads and wraps. What a great place to eat!! I went there because of a review in The Miami Herald. The portions are HUGE, and the service is really friendly. I ordered a Mediterranean Salad the first time and the second time a Pesto Chicken Wrap. What a great place!! I definately place my vote on this place, the reader's should give this place a try. I've been to other salad places, but this one is really outstanding. They even have table service!! A big thumbs up for them!!

• Kelly's Landing! If it were any more authentic....you'd be in Maine....where Lobstah grows on trees. Best of New England!!!!

• A restaurant that has been open for 20 years is something of an oddity in South Florida. Bimini Boatyard has not only been open for twenty years but has gotten a face lift and a new menu. The menu has been reworked keep all the old favorites but adding exotic and unusual recipe elements from the British, French and Spanish Caribbean nations. The Happy Hour is a blast. We went a couple weeks ago on Friday and could barely manage to make our way to the outside dining terrace because of the throng - at the two bars. FB

• Tarks of Dania Beach The Originators Since 1966! Eat Clams...Live Longer!!! Eat Oysters...Love Longer!!! Doesn't this say and tell it all?! This place has consistantly very high reviews on every major restaurant ranking website. The best seafood for the best prices in Broward. ...now I gotta eat my steamers!...

• Now, I am not a fan of Italian food, but I love BRAVO. They always have something different to choose from. Something you have never had. Plus, its a fun atmosphere.

• Hi Life Cafe - New Times has written about them twice - once back in 2002 and another in 2006 or so... the first one was great because he understood the food and the second one by your current food critic just babbled on how Chef Carlos appeared on the show 'Top Chef' - anyone who goes in there and tries there amazing Butterfish and Crabfish will sure never want to leave - let alone the desert menu.

• I second the Lola's nod- great ribs, and crabcake- but the beer selection is key!

• It's not just a Restaurant, it's an experience that will make you consider speaking with a British accent, deink tea and eat mushy peas. Like most Pubs in England and around the British Empire, The KINGSHEAD PUB SUNRISE has the same effect on its guests. You walk in, and say this place is awesome! TRust me, it happens everyday at least once. Almost anyone who commutes on University Drive has driven by,seen the Flags on the roof and pondered what the KINGSHEAD was all about. It's about the best and most authentic Pot Pies, Curries, Fish and Chips you may ever have. No words can explain how great it is, with over 55 different Beers, Ales, Ciders and Stouts, there is something for everyone. Cheers, Jeff

• Tamarind Asian Grill & Sushi is my favorite restaurant. It's always an enjoyable dining experience between the ambiance and the food. I've never had a meal there that I haven't liked - and I always tell people who have never been there before that you can pretty much pick anything off the menu and be assured that it's going to be tasty. It's the only restuarant that me and the hubs ever agree on, because with their full Thai and Sushi menus I can always get sushi there (which I always want) and he can have his choice between the two.
