Best Of Readers' Poll 2009: Best Restaurant in Palm Beach

• For Palm Beach County- best restaurant is Cafe Boulud Ambrosia for Best Restaurant- really? I don't think they are the best restaurant on Dixie Highway between Lake Worth and West Palm Beach, let alone in Palm Beach County Tony's Pizza in West Palm Beach (on Dixie across from PA BBQ) has much better pizza and pasta IMHO. Check out the chicken florentine pie or the Pasta Roma (it's not on the menu anymore, but I think they'll make it upon request). Chicken Parm is tasty, too.

• Big City Dogs is the way to go! This little roadside shack is unreal. Since the new guy from New York took over its down right number one! The Italian Sausage or the Philly Cheese Steak is to die for. The Burgers , Italian Beef is in a class of its own. The new Guy got it right and South Florida has finally got an Authentic Spot.The owner believes in his food so much he'll tell you if it aint the best you have had take your money back ! THAT'S CRAZY....... By far best place in town

• By FAR, Pelican Cafe in Lake Park. Family owned and operated, it has a great atmosphere. It's the best brunch I've found in the area and the crab cake eggs benedict is divine. Evening specials are outstanding. The best lobster ravioli around. Rack of lamb is out of this world. I don't suffer from menu fatigue there like other places.

• I'd have to say that the best restaurant in Palm Beach is Ambrosia Restaurant on Dixie just North of Belvedere in West Palm Beach. Phenomenal pizza, to-die-for Fra Diavlo, great eggplant rolandini, and if you're into stuffed mushrooms, ya gotta try the appetizer - the sauce is divine!! Kudos to the owner and staff... it's nice to go to a place where the faces don't change every week and the staff recognizes you when you walk in. I've been driving up regularly from Hollywood to eat at Ambrosia for several years now and love it! I have yet to meet anything on the menu that I didn't like.

• AMBROSIA RESTAURANT IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN PALM BEACH COUNTY. THERE 8 PAGE MENU HAS LOTS OF OPTIONS. THEY REALLY ARE THE BEST FOR ITALIAN IN PALM BEACH.

• Best Restaurant has to be Rinaldi's Deli. Good Food, Friendly people. The subs are unique, Phillies are good, The GodFather is awesome...

• I understand that J Hex whatever that could possibly be has some extra time or friends or both, but what does that have to do with best restaurant?
