Firebug on the Loose. May Dance Like James Brown.

Categories: Broward, Crime
It seems an odd target of a violent crime, but a Pompano Beach party supply company called Rides, Slides, and Games was set ablaze by five arsonists -- or as the Broward Sheriff's office calls them, "firebugs" -- on Sunday night.

Five males, all with their faces covered, poured gasoline over a bunch of bounce houses.  According to the press release, video surveillance shows that "after dousing the contents, the firebugs try several times unsuccessfully to start the fire. It's not until the final attempt when they cause a flash fire, which sends the suspects running, one with his foot on fire."

Here's the footage:

Attempts to reach company representatives and BSO detectives were unsuccessful at the time of this post. Presumably, they were at the hospital looking for patients who checked in with a burned foot on Sunday night. Anyone with tips should call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
