• I called the Super Bowl to be Chargers/Bears in week 15, so I'm already screwed. But at this point, I'm rooting for the Saints. It'd be sweet if they won the bowl. ... New Orleans still won't have housing for half it's population, and much of the city will still look like a 3rd world country, but hey, they'll have a super bowl champ.

• Three of the four playoff games over the weekend were clunkers. The Chargers blew it against the Patriots, dropping balls over the place to give Brady the chances he needed to beat them. Ditto with the Ravens and McNair, whose career may be finished after the egg he laid at home. The Chicago-Seattle game was close, but of dubious quality. The only game that wasn't disappointing was the Saints-Eagles game, where both sides of the ball for both teams played good football. Garcia played a fantastic game in a losing effort -- and I think the Eagles were half-killed by bad calls and cheap calls, like the flinch on the line that cost the team its miraculous fourth and ten conversion with a couple minutes left. But the Saints didn't deserve to lose either. I'm going Saints and N.E. next week if you want to know how not to bet.
