Let's Hope It's Better Than 'Tabloid Wars'

A few of you might be wondering why I didn't say anything about this week's episode of "The Hill," the Sundance reality TV show following Rep. Robert Wexler and his staff. Well, it's because it was crap. Nothing more to say. If the next episode is worth 12 cents, I might write about it, but this week's version was just Wexler and his people playing weasel politics and talking about themselves. It really sucked.

But tonight and Sunday, you've got another must-see show coming on TV. A national PBS show titled AIR: American Investigative Reports will feature the Sun-Sentinel's investigations team as it tracked the FEMA fraud and

abuse story that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. It's the premier episode of the new show, which follows journalists around as they investigate "betrayals of public trust." Included in the show will be Investigations Editor Joe Demma and reporters Sally Kestin, Megan O'Matz, John Maines, and Jon Burstein. It will be broadcast locally on WXEL in Palm Beach County on Friday, Sept. 1 at 9 p.m. That's tonight folks. In Broward and Miami-Dade it doesn't get the primetime slot; instead it will air on Sunday, Sept. 3, at 11:30 a.m.
