Thought I'd point you toward this debate/rant session about the new Miami New Times' blog on Critical Miami. Interestingly, both MNT Editor Chuck Strouse and The Bitch have chimed in, so there's a bit of back and forth. After reading it I was left with a feeling of emptiness, really, of being left out. Where's the hate, people?

Wow. I don't know what's funnier: Journalists taking the criticism of bloggers seriously or bloggers seriously criticizing journalists. All I know is it makes for some entertaining reading. .
That's more like it, Klotz -- that was some real hate there. And I can certainly understand why, Klotz, with that huge and influential blog you run over there, you'd build up so bitterness against me. It's tough, and darn lonely, to be as significant and relevent as you, Klotz, so it's only natural that you would envy and hate me for being such a nothing. And I'm real sorry, Klotz, that my story made you want to wash your hands, but sometimes life'll do that to you. If you got out of the house more you'd know that, Klotz. Like, depressingly bad. What's hilarious is that exactly what you accuse The Bitch of in your CM comment can be thrown right back at you. It's just not worth the effort to read. I'm sorry, I hope I'm not upsetting you, Klotz. Run and wash your hands and make it all better.
Okay: I just posted my two cents at criticalmiami.com, but Klotz is just talking out of his ... Read the last three issues of MNT and anyone with half-a-brain would realize we're still sh*t-kicking news enterprise with relevance. Though Trevor's loss is hard to take...
Why waste precious hatred on the insignificant, the irrelevant, and the invertebrate? MNT's contributions to the local culture have sunk in importance to below their ads' capacity to shock and/or titillate. And your story this week about Koslow and Brown made me want to wash my hands afterwards.
Don't worry, Bob: we hate you most of all!
