Archie Bunker Lives

So the Pulp has been getting barraged lately by spammers who want to make penises bigger across America. That's not news, but it's interesting the way they are trying to sneak onto the site. Here's one "comment" they tried to get past the Pulp:

"As James Baldwin wrote, The white man here is trapped by his own history, a history that he himself cannot comprehend, and therefore what can I do but love him?"

Then another:

"Both my brothers became physicians and I, of course, wandered into a business where the undisciplined are welcome."

And another:

"All I have to do in the first two shows is credibly tie together the loose ends left at the end of last season."

And finally:

"Even a true artist does not always produce art."

So I punched the quotes in Google and they all came up to the same man: The late Caroll O'Connor.

And so it goes. I've gotten a couple dozen in the past three days of a like nature. And these clever bastards have another favorite actor to quote. See if you can guess who it is by the following bon mots:

"Helena Bonham-Carter was pretty good underneath that makeup, but Jennifer is extremely sexy in this movie, not to mention talented."

"All that running around in my underwear put money in my pockets. I can focus on working in interesting movies without having to worry about supporting myself."

"After that 20-week experience of being on the set every day, whether I was shooting or not, I was like, This is what I want to do."

"A lot of talented actors still have to pay their bills."
