John Pacenti, who was so unceremoniously and outrageously fired by the weak-kneed corpo-hacks at the Palm Beach Post, is back, if only on a freelance basis. Today his byline appears in the DBR, where Jim DeFede also did a freelance piece before becoming a star of more visible mediums.

Tweaking discipline

After three years of study, a special commission of The Florida Bar has
unveiled recommendations to streamline and reform how the Bar
investigates and disciplines attorneys.

Okay, so it's not as sizzling as some of the stuff he did at the Post. Hell, DBR caters mostly to lawyers rather than folks like me and you (aka homo sapiens). But it's a newspaper that values good journalism -- and good reporters, even if they've been knocked down by other newspapers.
