Man Jailed for Illegal Use of a Dairy Case

Ernest Wend, whose address is listed as "at large," was arrested Saturday at 8 a.m. by Palm Beach County deputies.
The report didn't specify what Wend did exactly to violate the accepted uses of a dairy case or egg basket. There's also the question of why cops couldn't differentiate between an egg basket or dairy case. But if Wend was indecent, it's easy to speculate that his activities truly were outside the normal uses of a dairy case or egg basket.

lemme guess: homeless guy using an egg crate and a shopping cart to keep his crappy possessions in. Thank god this menace to society is off the streets.

As noted by the other commenter, he likely had a shopping cart with his stuff in it, the egg and or dairy crate was likely a multi-use plastic crate, or one of those plastic crates that thousands of college kids have in their doors right now. The indecent part is likely a result of him urinating in public.
I guess this sounds a lot less juicy when you logically break it down.
