Herman's Hermits Playing Seminole Casino June 27

Their website claims they're the original British Invasion band, just above a scrolling banner begging visitors to "Call your local Oldies station and request a Herman's Hermits song TODAY!!!" It's alternately sad and cute, especially after doing a little research and finding out they actually rivaled The Beatles for a few years in the mid '60s when they were both young bands. Forty years later, it's not hard to discern who's more popular, as I'd be willing to bet that 99 percent of the population under the age of 30 has no clue who Herman's Hermits are. For those in the know, Peter Noone is back with the band now, and they're playing a show at Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek on June 27. It's $5 and it's for a good cause: the SOS Children's Villages-Florida.

not sure if you are envious of the hungry children and an audience who want to help them by amusing their nostalgia buds, or if you are a panglossian twit with a simple ability to type? I suspect the latter, and thank you for trying to point yourself negatively towards the nasty people on the planet. You are outnumbered.

We know lots of people who plan to be at this concert. Herman's Hermits are certainly going strong and have a very large fan base. Journalist needs to do a bit more research perhaps? He is not full of himself like so many of the other singers out there today. It was an unexpected pleasure to hear his many jokes and hear them sing some of the other favorites of the 60s. I just got back from Peter and the Herman Hermits concert at the Seminole Casino. They were GREAT! We had such a good time. His voice is as good as ever and he is such a entertaining showman. He is not full of himself like so many of the other singers out there today. It was an unexpected pleasure to hear his many jokes and hear them sing some of the other favorites of the 60s.
