Akon Pleads Guilty to Tossing a Teenager Off Stage

R&B singer, Akon pleaded guilty today in a New York courtroom to throwing a, now 16-year-old, fan off of the stage at one of his concerts last summer.
The incident, which was the subject of much internet chatter last year, occurred when Akon called a fan up on stage for what looked like a joke. Akon immediately picked the teenager up like a WWE wrestler and tossed him into a crowd. Several people sustained injuries at the time and, rightfully so, local police pressed charges. Akon admitted responsibility today for the event and was hit with a meager $250 fine and ordered to perform 65 hours of community service. He will avoid jail time.
