Summer in South Florida - it sounds picturesque but honestly, it can kind of be a sticky, sweaty bummer. Venues stop booking, snowbirds hit the road, and it's the only time of the year you don't have relatives clamoring to sleep on your floor. For the most part, we're forced to create something from nothing. And that's kind of the brilliance of Propaganda's Summer Daze.

This three-weekend festival isn't just a party or a concert, it's a season-embracing affair giving locals the opportunity to share the stage with national acts and the street with skateboarders competing on a 24-foot half pipes and models strutting a makeshift catwalk. Kicking off Saturday, June 28, and continuing on July 19 and August 23, each day features a block party, two stages, multiple bars, and the quality live performances for which Propaganda is known.

Now in its second year, Summer Daze is back, bigger, and better. The crew behind the fest is prepping for an irie time. Day one is focused largely on modern reggae, capped off by headliner Badfish, a Sublime tribute band known for playing the hits with their own signature, amped up style. Jon Jordan, co-owner of Propaganda, knows exactly what he has on his hands. "Sublime could be considered the very essence of the Summer Daze concert series. They laid the foundation a long time ago for the reggae/rock/ska/punk scene that still exists today. Unfortunately, we can't have the Bradley Nowell version of Sublime that delivered us songs of the summer back in the day, so that is why we are delivering you the next best thing: Badfish."

The local lineup reads like a who's-who of West Palm's scene, including Moska Project, the Hard Richards, Shorty the Giant, and Spred the Dub. Right after Jacksonville's Whole Wheat Bread delivers their version of Florida punk, get ready to belt out "Smoke Two Joints" and take a few hits between words while singing "Santeria." Not much else screams American summer more than that.

Summer Daze. With Badfish, the Hard Richards, Shorty the Giant, Spred the Dub, and others. 3 p.m., Saturday, June 28, at Propaganda, 6 S. J St., Lake Worth. Advance tickets are $25, $35 at door. $45 for 2-day pass, and $60 for 3-day pass. Call 561-547-7273, or visit facebook.com/PropagandaLakeWorth.

Start working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life.

This is what I do…….
