The Chase Nightclub Now Open in Former Christopher's Location on Oakland Park Blvd.

Those mourning the closing of Fort Lauderdale nightclub Christopher's have something to look forward to with the Chase. The locale of the former Broward County institution opened again under this new moniker last night. No relation to the banking organization, the Chase will occupy the same 10,000-square-foot location that Christopher's did for over 30 years, on the Eastern end of Oakland Park Boulevard, just a stone's throw away from the Intracoastal. The Chase owner Laurie Pandolfo even put over half a million dollars in renovations into the space.

According to Pandolfo, the nightclub and lounge has a catwalk right of the main bar, and four other bars to entertain their clientele. The Chase also features high vaulted ceilings with a bevy of crystal chandeliers, a VIP section contained in a loft that overlooks the entire dance floor, and something a little different, a swing on the dance floor, which is meant to recreate a "Cirque du Soleil atmosphere."

In the Chase, Pandolofo hopes to recreate another Broward County nightlife legend in the vein of Christopher's. She tells us the area around Oakland Park Boulevard has died down in the past few years, but now with the opening of the Chase, and with the popularity of places like the Grateful Palate and Bokampers, this part of Oakland Park Boulevard will become a bevy of activity once again.

She also says that the club will be doing something that hasn't been done at the venue before, featuring live bands and an open house format. Look for Latin Night on Fridays, and top 40 and house on Saturdays. Thursdays through Sundays will feature happy hours and a bar menu, fashion shows, art exhibitions, theme parties, and a variety of celebrity DJs.

The VIP opening party was last night. Montreal DJ Sandy Duperval set up shop behind the decks all night. If you want to check out this new spot, the Chase is located at 2857 Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-561-2136, or email for a table.

I don't like....never ever will my friends ever come back. I will spread the world of exactly how this place has changed and I guarantee it won't last long on the map, to expensive, nobody dress nice, I understand why was empty

this place is horrible. if your over 60 you might like it. parking said 5 for parking, they, charges 7 at the  end. what a shit hole...

The "New" Chase Nightclub" still the old feel of CHRISTOPHERS.... just now you pay a $10.00 cover to get in for ladies and get two drink coupons to be served by the nastiest bar maid at the main bar..she was complaining that the "clientle" using these coupons dont tip." Real classy.... I've been a patron of this establishment for some time and I always tip my bartenters very well when the service is friendly and welcoming, the particular girl had a bad attitude which turned me off immediately to the "Chase Club".

Thank heaven that before walking out I saw the most AMAZING bar attendant there that is a class act. She is the essence of a exceptional bar attendant who knows how to make her clientele happy and welcomed. As for the remodeling its looks updated and better sound system. Very chic looking, I liked it very much. I hope as this new establishment owner take these posts seriously, or the establishment will suffer with bad service coming from the behind the bar. I wish the Chase Club much success if you weed out the bad service.

Good Luck and I look foward to dancing and dining at the "New Chase Club."
