A Tupac Tribute: Five Most Memorable Songs
Natalya Jones A Pac inspired class project.
Although we're on the East Coast, sometimes we gravitate towards that West Coast flava. Take, for instance, the most dramatic and tragic battle in musical history. Before Jay Z and Nas, 50 Cent and Ja Rule, Nikki Minaj and Lil Kim, there was Biggie and Tupac.
Geographically, we support our man Biggie Smalls, but let's face it, Pac's music is too damn infectious for us to ignore. Biggie Smalls was a cuddly guy, but Tupac was gangsta GQ. He was probably only man who could pull off a nose ring and still look tough. On this, the 17th anniversary of his death, we put together a list to let his spirit know all eyes and ears are still on him.
5. Hail Mary
"I ain't a killer, but don't push me." Who can forget that first line in Makaveli's gangsta single? Not Weezy, that's for sure. This troublemaker used it in his single "Right Above It." Sorry Weezy, Pac did it better.
4. How Do You Want It?
This baby-making anthem is perfect for letting the one you're bumping and grinding on know you're in the mood. Ladies, as you're dancing, you can look back at it and speak the words: "How do you want it?"
