Top Five Broward Events on a Budget This Weekend
Another weekend, another anxiety-ridden perusal of the ol' bank accounts. We're heading into the final stretch of September, and we're trying our darnedest to stretch our wallets till the bitter end.
That doesn't mean we have to skimp on our intake of culturally relevant and fun weekend activities. Here at New Times, we're intimately familiar with the phrase "a little bit goes a long way." In fact, we look at it as a way of life.
That said, here's this weekend's crop of the best music- and art-related events to check out around town, and none of them will leave you feeling guilty you went out. We promise!
Hello Elevator. 9 p.m. Saturday, September 21, at the Beat Cup Cafe, 660 Linton Blvd., Ste. 110, Delray Beach. Free. Visit Facebook for more details.
Celebrate the first anniversary of one of Delray's up-and-coming multi-instrumental groups, Hello Elevator. Its sound is a refreshing blend of everything from indie rock, pop, jazz, electronic, classical, folk, and even hip-hop.
