This time around, Jay'll be ditching that other guy. What's his name anyway?

Over the weekend, it was announced that Jay Z will play the BB&T Center on January 2, as part of the North American leg of his Magna Carter World Tour.

I know, like me, you're asking yourself, wasn't Jay Z just here? Yes, he was. He played Sun Life Stadium August 16. But even if you attended that concert, here are five reasons why you can expect this show to be different. And if you find the reasons convincing enough tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 12.

5. No Sulking Rich Dudes
Without Justin Timberlake along for this tour, there won't be as many trophy wives/girlfriends demanding their disinterested wealthy fellows take them to the show. While Timberlake put on a better than expected performance, his loss means you won't be annoyed by all the guys checking their cell phones to find out the current value of their hedge fund.

4. Air Conditioning
One of the most common complaints of the outdoor show at the stadium where the Dolphins play was how hot and humid the August air was, even at night. This concert is at the BB&T Center, which is not only indoors, is also a hockey arena. So you might even need to bring a sweater because you'll be sitting on or near a slab of ice.

3. No LeBron James Scandals
The last concert started an hour late reportedly because Jay Z didn't want the show to start until LeBron James got there. You might remember that LeBron then got a police escort to the concert which became a mini-scandal. It got the police officer in some hot water.

Unless Jay Z plans on massively delaying the concert, LeBron won't make this one because he and the Miami Heat will be hosting the Golden State Warriors on this evening. I suppose he could take a helicopter and catch the encore.

2. More Jay Z
If you're a true Jay Z fan, the lack of a co-headliner in Justin Timberlake means that, in theory, you get to hear more Jay Z songs. While they effortlessly shared the stage, you might now get to hear songs that had no place for Timberlake.

1. Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
By the time the concert actually takes place, four more whole months will have passed, and we'll already be in 2014. By that time, the August concert will seem as 2013 as twerking.

Jay Z, January 2, at BB&T Center, 1 Panther Parkway, Sunrise. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. Visit livenation.com.
