At last! This short week's come to a close, and as we inch further away from Summer and deeper into the Fall, we'll take any chance we get to cling to our permanent vacation mindset.

This doesn't mean hangin' out and kicking it at home. Oh, no! Sure, you might be a little low on cash from the past week's string of holiday festivities, but that's no excuse to be boring.

We've got you covered with a list of the five best ways you can get out this weekend, party, and enjoy some tunes in your own 'hood. All for $5 or less!

You can thank us later.

Astrea Corp. With Lavola and Jelly. Friday, September 6, 10 p.m., the Vagabond, 30 NE 14th St., Miami; 305-379-0508; thevagabondmiami.com. Free til midnight.
"You can't roll a spliff on an MP3," singer Carly Astrea of Fort Lauderdale's trip-hop trio Astrea Corp once pointed out, demonstrating the merits of vinyl records over digital music formats. Yeah, you can chill pretty hard with these guys.

Cassette It Together. With Miguel Morte Valentine, Shangri La, Lil Daggers, and the Goddamn' Hustle. 3 to 9 p.m., September 7, at Radio-Active Records, 845 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Jolt Radio will be streaming live, and there'll be raffles, giveaways, a $1 tape bin, and food by No Place Like Vegan and Frankie Dogs. Visit Facebook.
Now that vinyl sales are on a healthy upswing, let's bring back another of our old-school favs, the cassette tape! This Saturday, Radio-Active Records helps kick off the first annual worldwide "Cassette Store Day."

I'm making $86 an hour working from home. I was shocked when my neighbour told me she was averaging $95 but I see how it works now. I feel so much freedom now that I'm my own boss. This is what I do, www.jobs34.ℂom
