This Saturday, take a break from 4/20 toking, and head out to revel in another of life's simplest pleasures: music.

In lieu of Record Store Day 2013, a handful of dedicated local record shops are prepared to show you just how passionate they really are about their trade. What follows are our top five Record Store Day events going down this weekend.

We Got The Beats in Oakland Park is the only LGBT Record and CD store in the Southeast, and probably most of the country.

"We unapologetically specialize in categories often marginalized: dance music, disco, freestyle, R&B, bubblegum pop, '70s, showtunes, etc., which gives us a fun vibe," says owner Tony Cicalese. "No attitude, no musical snobbery involved."

To celebrate RSD2013, We Got the Beats will virtually double its displayed inventory by taking over the empty store next door for the entire weekend. "It's a gamble," says Cicalese, "but we think it will pay off."

We Got the Beats will bring in a ton of merch they don't normally carry: lots more rock stuff, out of print 180 gram new vinyl, used rock vinyl, 80s vinyl, full-lengtha and 12-inches. There will also be a sidewalk sale with $1 CDs outside; a ton of vinyl 12" singles reduced to 25 cents each; all used DVDs for $1; several crates of free vinyl; free promotional posters and CDs; and free refreshments, including free beer from the fully glittered "disco fridge."

They will be showing the official RSD movie, Last Shop Standing, several times throughout the day.
