Miss Richfield 1981 -- or Miss R. to you prairie dogs -- is a Queen with a capital Q. She is bringing her latest show, Sweet & Sour Richfield Made in China!, to the Manor this weekend. This new production will feature colorful videos, twisted sing-alongs, and a healthy heap of audience interaction.

The second annual Rotary New River Raft Race is a mad dash along a one-and-a-half-mile route on downtown Fort Lauderdale's New River. Racers paddle or otherwise self-propel their vessels (no motors allowed) as onlookers take aim with water guns and cannons. The event includes awards for most creative raft and "best pirate spirit," plus kids' activities and food and drink available for sale. - Tricia Woolfenden
