"Hated for Loving" Smiths/Morrissey Tribute Night Anti-Valentine's Day Party
9 p.m. Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE 2nd Ave. in Miami. $5. 18 & over. churchillspub.com.
For every singles mixer and romantic spot, there's an anti-romance party somewhere for the single and loving it, the single and bitter, and even the paired up but un-romantic. This one is a bit of a drive, but Churchill's Pub in Miami is the kind of venue that's worth the trip. See the Morrissey and Smiths cover band Ordinary Boys perform their tribute "Hated for Loving," with Girlfriend in a Coma, and DJ Dracula's Daughter.
No one makes misery more appealing than the Moz.

My Furry Valentine with Hurly Burly All Male Burlesque Revue
10:30 p.m. Five Points Lounge, 2608 S. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. $5. Call 305-803-9014, or visit 5pointslounge.com.
Forget alabaster skin and voluptuous curves; the Hurly Burly's eye candy arrives by way of pure testosterone. The troupe will show off its tatted-up chests and fanciful facial hair during Friday's "My Furry Valentine" performance. With tongue firmly in cheek, the dancers -- who come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and body-hair cultivation -- use their senses of humor and masculine charms to entertain an audience that's encouraged to come stocked with single dollar bills and few inhibitions. Aggressive psychedelic rock band Black Seal will provide the tunes for the evening's entertainment. - Tricia Woolfenden
