Mumford and Sons Announce Florida Date with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
![]() |
These four Brits have announced their Gentlemen of the Road stopover shows, which includes a two day fest in Saint Augustine, Florida. Apparently, the series includes a variety of different artists in different combinations performing with the band, which has "curated" the lineups. These take place in Simcoe, Ontario, Troy, Ohio, and Guthrie, Oklahoma, which the band says, via press release, are "towns not normally frequented by touring bands in buses or splitter vans." The idea is to stimulate community and local business and stuff.
On September 13, the gentlemanly show begins in Florida. They've got Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and Willy Mason performing. Then Mumford and co.'ll be waiting for you on the stage the next night with Fun., the Vaccines, Bear's Den, Half Moon Run, and Those Darlins.
Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. on February 8, 2013. They cost $109, which is kind of a steep ticket for a "community" event. But there aren't any additional charges, so that's fair enough. The press release says that: "Each ticket will include a beautifully-designed, commemorative Gentlemen of the Road Stopover Passport." Since sleeping under the stars in encouraged, there is a three-night camping pass that begins at $40 per person. Visit gentlemenoftheroad.com.
