It's a little late for Valentine's Day, but then again, broken hearts never go out of style. For all the broken, bruised, and mended hearts, Ink & Pistons offers up a group art show featuring Valentine's (or Anti-Valentine's) Day inspired art by over 30 local artists. Sweets and goodies will be served. The show runs until April 2nd.

9 a.m. Parade kicks off from New Mount Olive Baptist Church, 400 NW Ninth Ave. Lauderdale Lakes.
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Festival takes place between Northwest 27th Avenue and Sistrunk Boulevard and at NW 24th Avenue and Sistrunk Boulevard. Call 954-687-3471, or visit sistrunkfestival.org.

Sistrunk was not the ideal place to hang out a few years ago. Not anymore. The historical street is now superfancy, with brick-designed crosswalks and landscaped medians. This Saturday, the  newly lovely street will host the annual Sistrunk Historical Street Parade and Festival to celebrate Black History Month. After the parade, the festival will include live entertainment -- with two stages -- vendor booths with food, arts and crafts, merchandise, and information. The Kidz Zone will feature bounce houses, crafts, a videogame truck, and other activities. -- Sara Ventiera

The Tour de Broward this weekend provides ample motivating factors, with events like a 3K family walk, a 5K timed run, and cycling (50K and 100K courses), plus "The Power of Play Kids Zone" with sports-themed activities for kids 13 and younger.
