Cinephiles rejoice! The art-house scene is growing as legendary indie film house, Cinema Paradiso -- home of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival -- expands to a second location in Hollywood later this summer. Join the fundraising event and rub elbows with folks from Cinema Paradiso and the Broward Film Society, eat some munchies and down some cocktails while musing over the artistic renderings of the theater before anyone else. But don't get too sloshed, there's a walking tour down to the site at 2008 Hollywood Blvd.
6:00 p.m. every Thu. until April 1 @ YOLO Restaurant and O Lounge, 333 E. Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. $8. Call 954-523-1000, or visit yolorestaurant.com.
While everyone up North is nearly freezing to death, we're hanging out at outdoor restaurants, taking photos, and bragging to all our Northern brethren about our lack of seasons via Instagram. To celebrate the mild winter weather, YOLO is taking advantage of the outdoor fire pits -- and giving you multiple food photo ops -- by hosting a sticky sweet s'mores night. - Sara Ventiera
